“ There's a reason why this place has such a long wait time for dinner - the food is incredible! We were quoted at an hour and a half, but got in at a little over an hour. I was happy to relax at the brewery across the street while we waited :) I have been here twice before, but for this visit I had the garlic bread (a must) and one of the specials, which was orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe. One day I will save enough room for dessert. ”

This place has seen us graduate high school, celebrate our birthdays, countless holidays, graduate college, and will see us for many more years in the future. We have changed and grown so much throughout the years, but one thing that hasn't changed is how amazing the pasta shop is. I've been here with my best friend over 50 times, From the fresh delicious homemade pastas to the amazing staff that treats everybody like family, this place will always have a special place in my heart. Yes, the wait is usually over an hour, but I promise it's worth it. It's also the perfect time to explore the area, grab an ice cream or boba. I have yet to find another pasta restaurant that compares with the pasta shop. ”

“ Another glowing review to add for this great gem of a spot in the downtown Denville area. We had tried coming twice before, but truly the third time was the charm! What was an hour-75 min wait turned out to be only 45 minutes, which worked out great for us as we were enjoying some beer at the brewery caddy corner from the restaurant. This is truly a kid- and family-friendly spot. You would not believe how quickly my kids scarfed down the food- this is the true test of a good spot! Not only did they love the food (meatballs and the vodka pasta with peas and prosciutto were big hits), the staff were all so accommodating and extra attentive to their needs. We even left with a sticker at the end of the night! The Pasta Shop - we will be back! (And soon!) ”

“ You basically have to be here when they open to get on the waitlist it seems otherwise you can do takeout and eat at one of the picnic tables close by or take it home and enjoy. We came here on a Saturday night and they offered course had no tables available so we decided to do takeout and eat at one of the picnic tables. It was a cool evening so it was not bad to sit outside. We ordered rigatoni alla vodka and sweet corn ravioli. ”

“ Came here on a very busy Friday night hoping to eat inside. When we got there it was packed and they told us the wait would be 2 hours, but if we wanted to order takeout it would be 15 minutes and we could eat at the cute little picnic tables outside. That was perfect for us. It was a little hot outside, but we didn't mind. The place is so tiny inside there is barely any room for sitting and walking around. The food itself was so good. The chicken parm and rigatoni were great but the best thing was the mozzarella sticks. They were so good that I could've just had those as my meal. Also had the cannolis which were great too. Overall such a great experience and we will definitely be back! ”

“ Finally an authentic Italian pasta shop has arrived. 12:30 on a long weekend Saturday we couldn't find tables it's a small place and gets filled super fast, located in the downtown denville. We ordered food to go squid ink pasta with shrimp and carbonara pasta, a few appetizers, food felt as authentic as in streets of rome. The carbonara was a bit salty to my taste but the squid ink pasta was too good. I also bought freshly made squid ink pasta and their sauce so that I could replicate it at home though unfortunately I couldn't . I want to visit this place again and have a seating experience and try other foods on the menu. Overall 5 stars for the fresh ingredients and the quality ”

“ Came here on a Thursday afternoon at 5pm (an hour after opening) and the restaurant was already packed! They do not take reservations. I did not want to miss out on the pastas so we ordered to go and waited for ~15 min. There are lots of outdoor seating options too. - Garlic bread: 5/5; buttery, garlicky with a crunchy crust and fluffy interior. It was gone within minutes - Spaghetti Carbonara: 5/5, rich, creamy and smoky from the pork. The egg yolk made the pasta extra rich and savory - Pappardelle Bolognese: 5/5, good bite with each noodle, a slight kick from the spice and a good tang from the tomato. Meat sauce was robust and slightly smoky Despite ordering everything to go, each pasta was as equally al dente and flavorful.
